Opened in August 2012 by Suzanne and Phil Hurst, Falcon Art Supply(FAS) is central Alabama’s only fine art supplier. Located in south west Shelby County, FAS is positioned to service artists in Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Shelby and Tuscaloosa County. Montevallo is home to The University of Montevallo, the state’s only public liberal arts university, with over 300 students majoring in visual arts. Montevallo has a growing arts community with an active arts council, with arts Fest the 3rd Saturday in April, Art Stalk the last Saturday in October, & Tinglewood Fest the 2nd Saturday in September. There are numerous showing galleries on campus and in town. The Blue Phrog Gallery offers local & regional artist works for sale.
